Liberating Jasper Emergency Fund

Since early 2019, Liberating Jasper has provided an authentic and inclusive healing community to residents of the greater Tacoma area. Anyone who knows us knows how much we cherish this community. This business, the care we provide, and the members of our community mean the world to us. And now, we are asking for your help.


Like many small businesses, we have been financially impacted by COVID-19 and the temporary closure of our facility. We and many of our associates are continuing to provide one-on-one support to clients via telehealth options, which is a wonderful option...at least, for those who have steady employment with health insurance benefits. For those established clients whose work and/or insurance status has been negatively impacted, we want to be able to offer pro-bono and sliding scale options in order to provide continuity of care. 


Additionally, we need your support in order to:
— Provide rent assistance and relief for our subletters for the days, weeks, and potentially months that our space will remain closed in the wake of this unprecedented crisis
— Continue making utility payments
— Pay reoccurring business expenses
— Pay our employees fairly
— Mitigate losses from not being able to host our community groups and retreats

We have looked into the Small Business Assistance through the city and the federal government and unfortunately either do not qualify or do not have the supporting documentation due to our size, length of time being open, and financials.

We are asking for your help in covering some of these necessary expenses over the next few months so that we may continue to provide the best possible care for our clients and to have this community space to return to at the end of this shutdown.
