Our beloved Libby Farber a.k.a. Bubbie, known to almost everyone as "Abuela Libby" passed away peacefully surrounded by her closest family on January 9th 2018 at 5:24 am. She was 91 years old.
There are not enough words to properly express the uniqueness, excentricity, and overwhelming generosity of our dear Bubbie. A self made woman, she worked tirelessly throughout her life to support her family. Her generosity of spirit and kindness was given freely to almost everyone. Housing friends in need, cooking and listening to those seeking a grandmothers love, (and a bowl of her famous matzo ball chicken soup) her doors were alway open. Quite simply, she was an angel.
Libby had been most recently living in Oregon with her grandson and daughter.
We are looking to have her memorial service in Los Angeles in mid-February. We are posting this go fund me to help us provide Abuela Libby the best possible memorial service to honor her extradionarily life.
