LHYA Emergency Safety Repairs on Jersey Fields
In a recent wind storm, a 40ft pole holding our electricity & lights fell. Due to the age of the poles, we had a comprehensive inspection done to check on the integrity of the other poles- and as suspected, these MUST be switched out before our next season for the safety of our players, coaches & parents!
2020 has brought so much unknown and crisis to so many individuals, businesses, and organizations, and LHYA is no different. We faced shutdowns, delays, increased cost of operations, increased regulations & loss of revenue. While we re-opened our programs as the regulations loosened, we were faced with decisions to approve the use of funds in savings to operate at full capacity for the children. Everything we DO is for the kids, so that decision was easy! However, this has exhausted our savings and puts us in a critical need to request the communities help to fund this emergency repair needed.
We have gotten bids & selected a vendor to do these repairs. We need your help spreading the word & sharing this initiative. We want to continue to provide our youth with affordable recreational sports without missing another season!
This is a photo of the pole that fell, on the front field. If you have any questions, concerns or comments- feel free to reach out directly to the league at board@lhya-sports.org.
Thank you for being a critical part in our mission!
