LFSA & SFM Side by Side Burn

On Tuesday, April 24th, 2017 at 1:30 pm the LFSA(Louisiana Fire Sprinklers Association, SFM (State Fire Marshal), and the NFPA (National Fire Prevention Association will have A Side by Side Burn Demonstration at the LA State Capital Building. Legislators, State Fire Marshals, along with LFSA Members, will all be there to “Fire it UP” and then “Extinguish the Flames”. (All Safely of course!)
We will be constructing two fire demonstration units for this live burn – both will have smoke alarms and one will have a fire sprinkler system installed so we can show the audience the life-saving difference this vital protection makes when fire strikes.
Today, I am reaching out to request your support of the Side by Side burn through sponsorship(s) to cover the cost associated with the demonstration; building supplies, labor, and travel expenses. As you know, fire is a serious concern in Louisiana. And homes are where our citizens are most vulnerable. In fact, more than 80 percent of all fire deaths occur at home.
To help Louisiana residents understand how dangerous home fires truly are and to inform them of the steps they can take to stay safer, the LA State Fire Marshal’s Office and LFSA (Louisiana Fire Sprinkler Association) will be presenting a dramatic side-by-side fire and sprinkler burn demonstration at the State Capitol Building (300 State Capitol Dr.).
