Lewis’ Battle

UPDATE....Lewis is off the ventilator and after a few worrying days he is much brighter today and he is well enough to be moved out of ICU !!

My brother Lewis has had a bad accident out in Mexico where he lives with his partner and 4 year old twins. He took a nasty fall from a high wall and his chest took the brunt of the impact resulting in a lot of broken ribs, a punctured lung and a shattered sternum and a visit to ICU ! He had an operation on the 12th of May to repair his sternum and all was good but unfortunately it went down hill rapidly after that! The bruising on his lungs meant there was not enough oxygen being circulated around his body and he was placed on a ventilator the next day to help his lungs recover which they are doing but he’s still on it!
Lewis usually has insurance through his work but unfortunately, like a lot of people just now he was paid off so has no insurance just now, crap timing I know !

At first we thought it would be fine, we as a family will manage to help out with the medical bills but that has come and gone, the costs have spiralled this week and now sit at around £20,000! We have helped pay some but even if we were to sell our houses we could not raise enough that quick.
So as a family we are asking for your help, it’s not something we would normally do but desperate times call for desperate measures!
We would be so grateful for anything you could give to help.x
