Levi Brizuela

We are raising funds for Levi as he recovers from a terrible auto pedestrian accident, in which the driver has been identified as not having insurance.

Levi, as you know, was involved in a Auto/Pedestrian accident at the intersection of Mostyn and Community rd. The driver, was speeding going eastbound on community, and either due to inattentive driving or under the influence of illegal substances, she struck Levi, who was going south bound across the intersection, in the middle of the intersection and sent him flying approximately 30-40 feet and placed him on the pavement/grassy area in a ditch. The driver does not have insurance.

The result of his injuries was multi system trauma that I am used to seeing in another arena. He had built up air pressure in his lung space (Tension Pneumothorax), complete dislocation of his elbow, fracture pelvis on the right side, fractured sinus cavity, fractured patella, Avulsion to the the heel pad, and unknown trauma occurring in the chest area that was a cause for concern amongst the medical staff at MH woodlands.

Due to this, Levi was put on life flight and evacuated to MH Children's At The Medical Center, to undergo immediate surgeries to repair trauma and mitigate life threatening injuries. After a long morning and afternoon, he has pulled through and recovering. All life threatening issues have been resolved.

As you can imagine, it's been an emotional roller coaster for him. He is a tough young man and as a father it breaks my heart that he is going through this. He loves his friends and he loves the game of football and having both so close to being taken from him is heart breaking. He wanted me to tell everyone that he is fine and he can't wait to see everyone.

This a lesson I feel everyone can learn from. Hold your kiddos tight every chance you get because you never know when you may come home to them not being there anymore. Thank you everyone for the prayers and help. We are humbled. We love all of y'all and thank you.
