Greg Watson....what can I say, he's literally one of the BEST blokes around!
For those who have had the privilege to work with and know Greg, they will know that he is a loving father, grandfather and an amazing friend who will never turn his back on you.
Greg has raised 3 wonderful daughters and is a grandfather to 6 (soon to be 7) grandkids.
I had the privilege of working alongside Greg for 2 years and in that short time he has taught me so much, not just about work but about life. He has traveled the world and has many funny stories to share (most are at his own expense lol).
Earlier this year Greg was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
What is MND? Motor neurone disease affects the nerves (motor neurones) that communicate between the brain and the muscles that enable us to move, speak, swallow and breathe. In people with MND, the motor neurones gradually degenerate and die, causing the muscles to weaken and waste.
MND is a life-limiting disease, and although MND progresses differently for each person, there is currently no cure for MND, but symptoms can be managed to help improve quality-of-life and potentially extend life expectancy.
The time has come for us to assist Greg in anyway we can so he can stay mobile and to maintain as much of his independence as he can.
ALL funds raised will go directly to Greg to use towards mobility aids, modifications to his bathroom and house, transportation costs and any other needs he has now or in the future.
