Let’s Help the Starving Children In Afghanistan!

Humanity has no borders! According to World Food Program (WFP) surveys, 95 per cent of households in Afghanistan don’t have enough food; adults are eating less and skipping meals so their children can eat. Fourteen million people in Afghanistan are facing acute food insecurity with 3.2 million children under the age of 5 suffering from malnutrition. At least 1 million of these children are at high risk of starving to death due to acute malnutrition. Similarly, breastfeeding mothers are starving and are facing lactation insufficiency. Babies are emaciated while the chilling winter has just started, which further threatens these children’s survival. At such a hard time, we should all act selflessly to save the lives of our own kind.

Association of Afghan Health Care Professionals-UK (AAHP-UK), a registered charity in the UK with over a decade experience in humanitarian work in Afghanistan, supported by a group of selfless Afghans, has stepped up to help these children. However, this is only possible with the financial contributions and assistance provided by the kindest and most humane persons/organisations like you to provide nutrient-rich food packages to malnourished and starving children in Afghanistan.

With your generous support, AAHP-UK with the help of two Afghan local charity organizations (Ehsaas and AIMA) will procure and distribute food packages that are highly nutritious to both mother and child. With a donation of 65 USD, food packages containing the following food staples will be distributed to families with malnourished children:

1. Wheat flour 50 kg

2. Rice 12 kg

3. Oil 10 litter

4. Bean: 7 kg

5. Egg 60
