Let’s help Marcus kick cancers ass!

Dear friends and family,

Please join us as we come together to help our son, husband, friend, brother, nephew and co-worker, as he steps forward into the next part of his journey.

Last June, Marcus, a 31 year old Camera/Audio Operator, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Colon Cancer. Unfortunately after having no symptoms, it was caught too late for surgery. He quickly began chemotherapy treatment hoping to shrink the tumours. In a bittersweet twist of events because of Covid, Dawn, Marcus’ wife was able to be home and help with the adjustment. Family and friends were able to visit between waves and help as well. After some great results at first, the results began to stagnate, and a new chemotherapy was required after 8 months. Beginning his second new treatment in March, it also began with promising results. After 5 months, however, it was deemed not effective as multiple new tumours appeared. 

Due to the type of cancer, these were the only 2 public options to try and treat the disease. Marcus’s last option is the drug Lonsurf, and in Canada it is unfortunately a private option. He will be beginning his third and final treatment option this September to try for one final push to shrink the cancer to an operable level. 

We all know and love Marcus beyond words.  He is positive, charismatic and always puts others before himself. Now is the time for us to offer any support we can. For those that cannot give financially, please keep Marcus in your thoughts and keep sending him love, light and healing energy.
