We all know and love Katie Prejean McGrady (@KatiePrejean) - rockstar evangelist, radio host, Twitter mom. Her children, Rose and Clare, have stolen our hearts. But while the past year brought Clare into their life, it hasn't been entirely sunshine and Rose.
Lake Charles, the city where the McGrady family lives, has suffered two devastating hurricanes in the past year - and the McGrady family welcomed Clare into their life during the aftermath of Hurricane Laura - while evacuated from their home. And just when it seemed they had recovered, another Hurricane Delta hit. Both of these hurricanes cause great damage to their home and neighborhood.
To top it all off, in May 2021 - as this GoFundMe is posted - the McGrady family is again enduring a natural disaster. A massive storm has caused flooding in their house - and because they live in what's not supposed to be flood zone, they don't have rising water insurance.
Let's come together and help out the McGrady family during this difficult year.
Any excess money raised will be donated to the Religious Sisters of Mercy whose convent also took on water as well as the family's Catholic school, which took on water in a building already damaged by hurricanes.
