Let’s help Davita Turner and her family

We need your help. We have a fellow LEO who’s wife is getting ready to fight cancer and we need to show her and her family she’s not fighting alone! Officer James Turner of Whitesboro, wife Davita Turner had a biopsy on March 25th and found out she has Thyroid cancer. Thursday June 3rd she’s going in for surgery to remove her Thyroid and some lymph nodes at UT Southwestern. They will be testing to find out what stage and the treatment options from there.

They have to come up with $4,000 just for the surgery on June 3rd. After that they will be getting bills from the anesthesiologist, surgeons and other dr’s. From there they have to pay 20% of all the medical bills and she will be out of work until her treatments are done. They also had damage the their roof and a/c and have had to pay a $1,000 to get that fixed.

They have 3 sons who will be struggling with the changes in their lives. Their 20 yr old son is serving our country and stationed at Ft. Bliss and will have travel expenses. They have an 18 yr old and 11 yr old at home who will be trying to help out as much as possible, but will be affected by all of this.

    This sweet family has helped out our community in so many ways, and now we need to be there for them. Anything you can do will help. Prayers, love and support is what they need and we’ll be trying everything we can to help them through this. We appreciate anything and everything you can do. We will be giving updates on her surgery and treatments on here throughout her battle.

  They have also said if there is any money left over after her battle, they will be donating the left over money to Back the Badge.
