Let’s give Mani hope

Donation protected
Around one week ago I noticed Mani wasn’t himself, he was lathargic, depressed, had a decreased appetite and seemed very weak. This was totally out the blue, the day before he had been his normal excitable self.
I decided to hold off taking him to the vets as I thought just like us he was having an off day. Then during the night Mani seemed to scream out in pain, he also urinated himself. We rushed him to the out of hours vets who treated Mani for a spinal issue as Mani was weak on his hind legs.

That evening again during the night Mani repeated what he did the night before only this time had a severe seizure. This is something Mani has never had before and for that moment in time we thought we were going to loose him. Again we rushed him to the out of hours vets, they did blood tests that showed us his liver enzymes were high. As Mani had suffered a seizure they referred him to a specialist neurologist vet.

Mani has had an MRI & biopsy’s of his liver. These have shown mani has inflammation of the brain, that could be caused by tumour or infection.  As the inflammation is quite severe they cannot do a cerebrospinal fluid test as this will put Mani at risk.

Mani has currently been put on steroids & anti-biotics for one month, with another MRI planned for in a months time in the hope that the inflammation will reduce. If it does not this confirms that Mani has got a tumour of the brain and will need radio therapy treatment that comes at a high cost.

If anyone knows me I am not one to ask for help but sometimes you have got to let your pride go. Mani is our baby and I want to be able to do all I can to ensure he can fight through this.

Mani is insured but only up to £7000 p/condition and so far vet bills stand at £6000. Mani needs another MRI in one month time which will cost £3000. I hope that he does not need radiation therapy and this is just a nasty infection but we need to prepare. If he does need radiation therapy this is around the £5000 mark.

Any funds that Mani does not use/need will be given to the French Bulldog Saviours charity.
