Let's Get Tyler Home!

Hi all,

First, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been following and supporting Tyler and his family over the last year. For those of you who don’t know, my baby cousin Tyler was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia on November 14th, 2016. He received multiple rounds of chemotherapy at Winthrop University Hospital, and in March of 2017 we were told he was in remission.

Unfortunately after a few months, we found out the cancer was back and aggressively spreading throughout his body, including his brain. Tyler’s parents examined all their options and decided to go to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia to receive surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. After a few months in the hospital, tests indicated that Tyler’s cancer was not responding the way the doctors had hoped, and they sent Tyler home to enjoy the time he had left.

Miraculously, after a few weeks, the doctors called and said that the preliminary results were incorrect and the cancer was gone. After some extra treatment to ensure that Tyler was in full remission, he received a stem cell transplant. Now, he is living in Philadelphia for three months before he can return home.

However, Tyler’s parents, Stephanie and Rob, just received news that there is mold in their house. Tyler’s transplant makes his body extremely susceptible and he therefore cannot return home in these conditions. The cost to fix the mold is going to be a minimum of $5,000, and their family needs our help.

I know many of you have already been so kind to donate to the Lipsky family. However, anything that you can give now will help Tyler return home and reunite with his brother, Hunter. Please help, and Let’s Get Tyler Home!
