Surprise Fundraiser for Studio Time for Tannis!

There are few people that we could say this about...

 

She has consistently shown up for our shows, baby showers, wedding showers and birthdays (and typically has super thoughtful and quirky gifts ). She has played music and written songs for some of our major life events and celebrations. She has been there for hospital visits and organized care packages for those of us that have experienced profound losses. She has helped with new babies, fur babies and some of our relatives. She has volunteered for our festivals, plays and donated to our causes. She has been there to help us move (literally and figuratively haha). And somehow, she still manages to find time to shut a few parties DOWN (before Covid shut all the parties down ). Anyways, get out of here Covid, this isn't about you! 

 

This is about Tannis, and now it's our turn to show her how damn special she is by joining together to do something super awesome for this wonderful person.

 

As we know, Tannis is a stunning musician and writer, and super dedicated to her craft. Wouldn't it be sweet for Tannis to catch a break and land the opportunity for some studio time? Her songs seriously have to be recorded, it's so long overdue! Let's all help to make that happen! 

 

Covid has been hard on all of us, some more than others, and it is understandable if right now there is too much financial uncertainty to contribute. However, if you can, please do! Any amount would be awesome! If you can’t donate, you can still help by sharing the link to this fundraiser via email or messaging. That would be great! We're attempting to fundraise and (hopefully) keep this a surprise, so please NO SHARING on social media. Mum's the word until Tannis' Birthday when we will film a video of her getting the news! Hopefully by then we’re close to or at our goal, and can get her some studio time

 

Paul Little has graciously offered to put in some of his own time and trade his skills at a local recording studio in exchange for discounted service. This would allow for Tannis to record with an experienced local musician and producer. Of course, we can’t make these decisions on Tannis' behalf, so ultimately she gets to decide what’s best for her after the money is raised. After all, this is her craft and her vision However, we do have a sweet plan tentatively lined up, and we're hella excited about it! Thanks again Paul!! 

 

Alright, you're probably tired of reading this (if you haven’t dropped out already) so I'll wrap this up by saying you are all wonderful people. Now let's do some fundraising and make Tannis cry (happy tears, of course ).
