Let's Build some Pickleball Courts in Nahant!

This is Deb Baldwin acting on behalf of a growing number of Nahanters who love the game of pickleball, but are tired of going to other towns to play! 

Right now, the plan at Flash Road Park is 2 tennis courts each overlaid with lines for 2 pickleball courts. Anyone who has played on this type of configuration knows how confusing it is with so many lines to keep track of while you're trying to play. 

And we will only have 2 pickleball courts instead of the 4 courts we could have if we all pitch in! With demand for the sport exploding across the US, those 2 courts will be in constant use so it will mean we still need to travel out of town to play. 

That is why we need to raise $9,500 of the estimated $19K needed BEFORE  Town Meeting on May 21st!!!

Currently, we have raised over $7,000 so we are almost there! These monies will enable the town to paint lines and purchase/install posts and nets for 4 dedicated pickleball courts at Flash Road Park, in addition to one dedicated tennis court.

Let's get this done now so we can enjoy playing pickleball in Nahant this summer!
