Let’s be part of Stany’s cancer healing journey

Anyone who knows our father, Stany (Papa Loria), knows him for his gentle smile and his big heart! He has a magnetic personality, is loved by all ages, and most importantly has a contagious kind of joy. Unfortunately, the day after Thanksgiving, Nov 25th, 2022, everything changed for him and us. He was attacked by a paralyzing pain that we assumed was part of his sharpened chronic back pain. He was rushed to the emergency room, and that was the last day that he could enjoy the warmth of his home and his ability to walk or merely sit.

After several tests were run, he was diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, and unfortunately, he was unable to receive proper healthcare at the hospital he was at. After several weeks of searching for a transfer request, he was finally admitted to Ben Taub hospital in Houston TX, where the doctors observed a spread to his spine and recognized the immediate need for radiation, chemotherapy as well as specialized treatment to target the areas that were already affected.

As we start this hopeful journey to his health, we seek support in raising funds to allow him to receive the care that will contribute to his recovery process. Thank you for being part of this; we can’t wait to celebrate his recovery with each one of you.
