From Rosemary:
When Jim and I took our wedding vows 41 years ago we made a promise to God and each other "in sickness and in health, until death do us part" seriously.  So honoring that commitment and lovingly caring for Jim has been my priority  these last 14 years. For these last 7 years he has been residing in a nursing facility. Alzheimer's Disease is no respecter of persons, and it takes not only your loved one away, but places a constant financial burden on you. Because of nursing home costs and paying for his health insurance, I have had to forfeit many things, one of which is health insurance for myself.

Already being a breast cancer survivor of 27 years, unexpectedly I have been diagnosed with another early stage cancer and I will undergo surgery next week. My prognosis looks favorable and I am praying for a full recovery and also that I will not be needing further treatment. My recovery may take up to a month, missing valuable time off of work without pay. Between hospital expenses and loss of income, and with caring for Jim my financial burdens are quite heavy. However, my faith has sustained me through these trials and I am confident that somehow God will work things out!

Much love,
Rosemary

From Friends of Rosemary and Jim:
Many of you are aware that Jimmy Kestle, bass player for Coyote, Paper Cup, Dion's Sweetheart Band, Rosco and others, has been undergoing severe health issues for the past decade. He suffers from early onset Alzheimer's Disease which has slowly decimated him until now he is unable to do even the smallest thing for himself.

While we all feel for Jimmy and wish him the best, there are others suffering along with him that need our help, particularly his wife Rosemary. She has been with Jimmy constantly and has sacrificed much to bring him love, companionship and necessities on a daily basis. Among her sacrifices, unfortunately, has been health insurance and now she is having issues of her own.

I received a call from Marc Loundas (Starleigh, Flaming Pit, Christopher's, etc), he told me he had visited Jimmy along with drummers Dennis Meros (Coyote) and Buzz London (Dion's Sweetheart Band, Rosco) and Jake Rubinstein. On the ride home it was decided that, to help Jimmy's family, they would put together a benefit featuring friends from Jimmy's 20 plus years musical career and create this GoFundMe page.
