Let's Help Our Sweet, Stubborn AJ

Sweet, stubborn A.J...I don't know if she'd kill me or love me for doing this but here goes....After seeing A.J.'s Facebook update this morning, a lot of us at work wanted to help her in any way we could. We all know A.J. is so strong-willed and determined to overcome the obstacles that continue to increase.
"My apologies for the unanswered calls and text the past few days friends. It couldn’t be JUST a broken rib...NOOO, of course not! It’s me we are talking about people! It’s been a rough 39+ hours: 2 Emergency Departments, X-rays, CT, Doppler Study, and lots of labs that revealed an “extensive” DVT (blood clot) in my left leg “hip to heel” (my GOOD leg by the way) and numerous Pulmonary Embolisms (more blood clots) in both lungs. I’m currently on a Heparin Drip (blood thinner) and I’ve been admitted to ICU but have held in the ER for almost 42 hours waiting for a bed upstairs...it’s been crazy busy here and these folks work their @$$€$ off!! On a positive note it hasn’t been that bad because I have had some amazing nurses taking care of me since I got here! Thank you for your excellent care, compassion, and conversations Ivy, Ally, Courtney, and Katie - you ladies rock! The team at Sentara BelleHarbour was as equally amazing! A big thank you to Traci RN, Jewel PA, and Dr. Jennings for making sure I was well taken care of and transported to the right location with the right specialist! So I finally got a nap last night & now I am wide awake and a wee bit nervous about the procedure planned for today (targeted TPA) that is hopefully going to break up this freaking clot in my leg! It’s a procedure with a few risk so I’m praying this surgeon brings his A-game today (and good drugs)! Wish me luck folks & I will try to post updates on how it goes through the weekend. MUCH LOVE...because I don’t say it enough!"
Knowing that she will be out of work for a while, these funds could help give her piece of mind and help her be in a better mindset to heal. I set this generic fundraising goal to initially help her in the short term but I would love to see us exceed it. Please share so that we can reach as many people as I'm sure A.J.'s amazing, caring, beautiful personality has touched over the course of her career!
