We at F&B, as a strong and forever family are reaching out to you. We ask for your help to support one of our beloved family members; Honori Pereira who has been victimized by a tragic, life altering auto accident.
Honori has been a long-time sous-chef for us over the years, and we all love him dearly. He has a lovely wife, and two young children at the current ages of 6 and 2 years old.
On November 6, 2020, Honori was on his way to work and was cut off by a large work van that propelled him into an impending fight for his life. The first 12 days after this horrible accident, Honori underwent surgeries for multiple broken bones, which required multiple internal and external fixations; rendering him unconscious for over a week. Honori also suffered from internal bleeding and is still in the CCU (critical care unit) at Wellstar North Forsyth Hospital.
Specifically, Honori suffered a complete, and severely displaced fracture to his right femur just below his hip near the femoral head, along with three severely displaced fractures to his right arm; extending from his humerus just below his shoulder, and both his radius and ulna bones his forearm. Honori has already undergone 6 surgeries, which required the use of plates, pins, screws and a rod extending from his shoulder to his elbow.
Honori secured a new job that finally gave him the provision of health insurance. One of the most unfortunate parts of this tragic event, is that on the day of its occurrence, Honori was on his way to his place of employment to sign his health insurance documents, which would have ensured coverage for him beginning on that day. Now, the insurance company is refusing to provide any coverage whatsoever.
Once Honori moves out of the critical state he has been in since November 6th, he will likely have to undergo additional surgeries for an unforeseeable amount of time to come. Honori also faces a lengthy, and painful term of rehabilitation, which he may need for years.
Honori’s wife Johanna, and his two children are not only faced with the tragedy of what has happened; but their lives as they knew it will never be the same. His family now struggles to live, with daily fear and complete uncertainty of the future.
Family, friends, acquaintances, patrons and strangers: We have a dire request for your aid.
We desperately want to ensure they don’t lose their home, and so their children and his wife can have some sense of security during this tragic time, and also help provide them with the simple things they need, which Honori is now unable to provide. His wife has shown amazing signs of strength; juggling the responsibility of their two children, while being at the hospital with Honori the majority of the time.
