Help Danielle & Her Kids After Devastating Fire

As you may know, our friend Danielle Barkhouse and her three children lost absolutely everything in a devastating fire last Friday night. She did not even escape with the shirt on her back, she jumped out of the window in the same outfit she was born in. Her quick thinking daughter Maddison saved their lives by sounding the alarm and waking up her brother and Mom, a few minutes longer they would have most likely perished. Luckily, little brother Sebbie was not there that night. The Fire Marshal’s office is still investigating . The cause has not yet been determined.
This Go Fund Me page was set up as a loving and quick response to the tragedy and the generous response of money , clothes and kindness has been unbelievable. Danielle has insurance, in fact Aileen at South Shore Insurance has been a rock star with information and advice. BUT there will not be a penny for six months. Other than rent, they simply have to wait.
Remember Danielle lost her car, her motorcycle and didn’t even have a driver’s license to rent a car. It burned with everything else, including the key to her son Logan’s car. Every card , every birth certificate , even the key to the post box will cost money to replace and that’s only the beginning. School starts soon and everyone knows how much that can add up.
Danielle works tirelessly full time for the Municipality of Chester in what is really a part time job as a councillor. She loves this community and it shows in all her endeavours.
Now that we know the situation and what is needed, we are raising our final goal to $10,000 . This will get Danielle and her kids through until her insurance settlement.
