Many of you are already aware of the destruction Hurricane Dorian has caused the Bahamas, and likely have donated through other fundraisers. Thank you for your continued generosity.
We are creating this GoFundMe account specifically for Yvonne Outten and her family. On August 30th, as the storm set it’s sights on the Sea of Abaco, Yvonne's husband Steve suffered a substantial stroke. He was transported to Marsh Harbor to be stabilized, and then flown to Nassau to be hospitalized for continued treatment. Her family’s home and beloved island has been ravaged by the category 5 storm. Yvonne has lost her house, has mounting medical bills, and her job is gone until the island can rebuild.
If you’ve visited Green Turtle Cay, you likely met Yvonne where she worked for the past 14 years at the Pineapples Bar & Grill. If you’re like us, you realized you were somewhere very special after meeting her, and were captured by the welcoming spirit of the island.
Yvonne and her family need extra support until Steve is released from the hospital and able to return to normal life. Please help if you can, 100% of the money goes directly to Yvonne.
