Coming Together for Ever Linares' Family

Donation protected
Family and friends,

It comes with a heavy heart, that we had to say goodbye to Ever A. Linares.  Unfortunately, Ever was one of the millions who contracted Covid-19 during this horrific pandemic. After a week-long battle fighting to stay alive, God called him home on November 30, 2020. He leaves behind 7 children: Alex, Lea, Ever, Randy, Heaven, Mayla, and Cyrus as well as wife, Andrea Linares.

Family, friends, and community - we need your help for this family during this unbearable and unprecedented time. We are asking for financial assistance in raising money for funeral and upcoming expenses the family will now be challenged with.

Ever not only dedicated his life to providing for his family but also committed to putting others first.  Despite having to deal with his own health adversities, Ever dove head first since the onset of Covid-19, providing PPE and masks to underserved communities among the many other services he provided.

As a man of God, he wanted help others and those in need. He was extremely involved within his community in so many significant ways that his involvement changed the dynamic of South Central. Here are a few words from Resilient’s Executive Director/Co-Founder, Michael Guedel:

"Mr. Linares is one of the Co-Founders of Resilient. He was committed to making communities safe and resilient by providing community-based violence interruption services, uniting businesses, residents, local government agencies, churches and community based organizations to save our youth and young adults through collaborative efforts that emphasize education, training, empowerment and unity. He is also an instructor for the Urban Peace Institute, using this platform to promote peace, and violence interruption strategies in cities affected by gangs, poverty, and violence in the United States. He instructs and develops community intervention and outreach workers nationally".

Words from his family:

“I met the love of my life about 17 years ago - a handsome, smart, wise man. He’s taught me how to be patient and kind. He showed me the meaning of true love and compassion. His dedication to his family and community is what I love and will never forget. Through the battles of his sickness he has always been RESILIENT, got up and kept pushing. I admire this man and will continue his legacy. I love you so much babe.” – wife, Andrea.

“Thank you to the man that raised me and showed me how to be the man I am today”. – son, Alex.

“Most selfless person I know, best dad in the world. He’s really caring and loving”. – daughter, Lea.

“He was a wonderful father that gave me the greatest childhood any child could ask for! One of the wisest men you could meet and never once hesitate to share his wisdom with anyone. It is truly sad to have him leave us but I’m glad that he is resting knowing that he left a great strong family that loved him dearly”. – son, Ever.

“RIP Ever, thank you for loving me as one of your own kids. You have proven to me that no matter what the situation is, anything is possible. Lastly, I wanted to say, thank you for showing me oldies music because our generation is whack”. – son, Randy.

“I’m going to miss the way he used to annoy us when we needed to wake up or when we would just go to 7-11 because he was craving a soda. It was the little things that I’m going to miss. Just not having him here anymore will be tough but I think we’ll be alright because if he weren’t for him, I wouldn’t be the person I am today”. – daughter, Heaven.

“He put everyone before himself and taught me so much. I miss him every day”. – daughter, Mayla.

“Best father in the world”. – son, Cyrus.
