Let's All Help Eric!

On Friday, March 13, Eric passed away. He fought so hard. Now, the Go Fund Me funds will go toward funeral expenses and living expenses for Kari, Michael, Grace, and Claire. We are all devastated with the loss of the heart of our family and such a wonderful human being. His legacy lives on with all the very many that he touched. On February 29th our beloved friend Eric became very sick with a rare form of toxic shock syndrome that has since began to shut down his organs.  He is currently in ICU and on life support. Due to his active lifestyle doctors remain optimistic that Eric may be able to recover but the road ahead will be very tough. Eric is a devoted 10th grade history teacher who was awarded Teacher of the Year because of his hard work and enthusiasm. His students love him. He is also Assistant Varsity football coach at Golden Valley High School in Santa Clarita, where he takes the time to go the extra mile for his players. His wife Kari also serves our community as a 1st grade teacher. Due to Eric's illness she will be taking a leave of absence from her position for an extended period of time. These two are also wonderful parents to 3 young children. 9 year old, Michael who has special needs and a heart condition, 7 year old Grace and 1 year old Claire. Now is the time for all of us to come together and support a family that has done nothing but support our communities for years! Let's all come together and help Eric on his road to recovery!!
