Let Me Love You: Intersectional Love Stories
Don protégé
Hihi!
Imani Youngblood here—my production team and I are raising money to produce our variety showcase “Let Me Love You: Intersectional Love Stories”. ️ I’ve teamed up with Aria Renee Curameng and Arianna Wellmoney to produce a show that is for us and by us, without the expectation that artists must donate their time and talents.
The event will take place on Saturday, June 22nd at 7pm at the Flea Theater (The Pete) at 20 Thomas Street, New York, NY 1007.
This show will be based on the concept of the five love languages- words of affirmation, acts of service, giving/receiving gifts, quality time, and physical touch. This event would showcase a diverse range of artistic talents, including singers, actors, dancers, and more. My vision is for this event to become a bi-annual occurrence, each time with a different theme to keep it fresh and exciting.
As a queer BIPOC performer, I work to create change in the artist industry. When members of my community win, it’s a win for many, and I cheer them on. But it’s 2024, and there’s still a lot of work to be done, and many talents to behold. My goal with this show is to showcase the talents I know of with stories that need and deserve to be told.
Our goal is $8,000, and with those funds we would allocate the funds towards organizing this unique and captivating performance showcase. By utilizing the funds in this way, we can create an immersive and engaging experience for attendees, while also providing a platform for talented artists to showcase their abilities.
This event would not only boost the visibility and reputation of Good Waves Studio within the community, but it would also serve as a means of generating additional revenue for the business.
- $2500 - Event Space & Rehearsal Studio
- $4500 - Production & Performer Stipends

Overall, your donations would significantly contribute to the growth and success of future Good Waves Studio productions!
