Leslie's Healing Journey

In May, I realized that the pain in my left side was not going away.
A CT scan found a tumor squeezing my ureter (the tube that leads from the bladder to the kidney) and surgery was scheduled to remove it.
The day after I found out I had to have surgery, I walked into work (a part time job I had for 3 years) and was told my position was being eliminated. This job supplemented my Social Security that, by itself, is not enough to pay my bills.
When the diagnosis came back as Ovarian Cancer Stage II- it was, very simply, a life changing moment.
A few weeks after the first surgery complications arose, and I was taken by ambulance to Salem Hospital. There, the doctors discovered that my left kidney had shut down and surgery was done to put a stent into my ureter. The stent has to be replaced for the rest of my life, every 6-9 months.
As a side effect of the cancer surgery I have Lymphedema.
My medical bills are mounting. Insurance does not pay for acupuncture, supplements, massage or naturopathic treatments. Then there are all the normal co-pays and the mounting expenses of daily living.
I am unable to work right now.
My focus is on my recovery and healing myself from cancer.
I am asking for help to pay for medical and living expenses.
Thank you for your support.
Peace and joy,
Leslie
