Brian Dollinger’s Memorial

Leslie is my sister. Her husband, Brian Dollinger, has had some frightening medical issues. Brian went to the ER late Monday night with abdominal pains related to his chronic health issues. Tuesday afternoon he was taken in for a 7 hour emergency intestinal surgery that we weren't sure if his body would be able to handle. This morning he had a second surgery to finish up the work done on Tuesday because it wasn't safe to continue to operate on him during the first go. Everything has gone to plan, but his case is a very difficult and complicated one involving many doctors and multiple organs, so even going to plan is not anything to get excited about. He has been in a lot of pain, but his numbers are ok. He's in for a very long road and the doctors are taking it one day at a time. He'll be in the ICU for at least a week and from there an undetermined time in the hospital while his body does its best to try to heal. Brian is also awaiting a liver transplant.
