Les Howard Carjacking Recovery Fund

A few days ago, my father Les Howard was brutally assaulted and robbed.  While on his way home from working at the golf course, his car was hit from behind.  When he got out of the car to inspect the damage, he was attacked and senselessly beaten by multiple men.  The assailants robbed him of his car, wallet and cell phone.  They left him laying on the street with severe injuries.  Fortunately, a kind human stopped to help him.  The actions of this kind stranger probably saved his life.

Les was hospitalized for two days with a concussion, several stitches, and his nose has yet to be evaluated.  He is now home and recovering.  He is in good spirits.  His message to me when I first spoke to him was to never get out of the car if I was hit, but to drive to a safe place.  This is the kind of person he is; always looking out for other’s safety.  He is a kind and generous person that has always cared for others. I love my Dad and my heart is aching knowing that such a gentle spirit had to suffer through such a traumatic experience.  
 
Les will be unable to work for some time as he recovers from his injuries.  His car is older, and even though it was insured, it will not be enough to cover the expense of another car; not even close.  My father and mother are humble and kind people with limited resources and income.  They are not the type of people to ask for help, so I am doing that for him.  I am asking for the good people of the world to help my parents.  My mother will be caring for Les as he recovers, but she also has to work a full time job.  She can’t possibly cover all the expenses from this tragedy, so any help would be greatly appreciated.  They will need help with the loss of their car, the loss of income while he recovers, and medical expenses (their insurance isn’t the best).
