Help Save Leo & Sadie's House!

Dear Caring Friends and Compassionate Strangers ,
It will be two years this July that Lorie passed away from her battle with ALS. Many of you helped them with donations, meals, carpool, cleaning and prayers.
Leo is still SO grateful to each and every one of you for your generosity and talks about it with me all the time; mentioning you by name, and feeling guilty about thank yous still needing to be written and sent. I assure him everyone understands.
It has been a difficult journey for them. Lorie needed constant care in the final stages, and the majority of that responsibility fell to Leo. As a result of having to care for her, their business and finances suffered. As Lorie's health decreased - their debt increased.
In the end, ALS not only took his wife, (and mother to their now 16 year old daughter, Sadie), but left them around FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND dollars in debt as well!
Leo has over the past year and a half been working tirelessly at paying it off. I knew the situation was bad, but didn't realize how bad - until this morning, when he called to say their house was on the auction block!
He paid lawyers $8,000 to last week to delay it, but as of the 10:30 auction time, they couldn't tell him if they'd been successful or not. As I write this (1:15pm), I still haven't heard, which leads me to think the worst. Regardless, he still has other debts that resulted from Lorie's illness and could use our help again.
We might not be able to save their house, but we can show Leo and Sadie that we're here for them in this hour of need.
