Leora’s haircut for Hannah

A year and a half ago we heard that a very close family friend was diagnosed with breast cancer, this started a discussion on cancer with the kids they asked about the treatments, the side effects and many other questions.  Leora asked me if kids could get cancer and I told her sadly yes, her next question was how can I help? We discussed many options and she made the decision there and then to grow her hair until it was long enough and then donate it.  We are only a few weeks away from the big chop and she couldn’t be more excited. 

Recently we we heard that an 11year old girl that we know from South Africa was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour, the only place that could provide her with treatment that would destroy the tumour and not her brain was in America and extremely costly. 

When Leora heard this she asked if she could donate money to Hannah to help pay for the treatment.

My little girl who started her life as a miracle, wants to make a difference in someone else’s life. Your support no matter how big or small will make a difference for Hannah and her family.
