To read more about the Scarecrow Festival please visit our Facebook Event: HERE ! Ray Dalgress donated £175 on 27th October, which were the funds raised on the day from the Scarecrow Festival

“On the 14th July 2021, Leo was diagnosed with a grade 4 brain tumour. After just 10 days of having occasional sickness it is a massive understatement to say this was the last thing I expected it would be caused by.

Leo has been so brave and so amazing, as you can imagine he has endured things a 6 year old should never have to face and yet he has still made me laugh and made my heart melt on a daily basis.

I cannot begin to express how I feel and how this has devastated all of us but what this has taught me even more is life is short and unpredictable. Hug your children hard, play when they ask and laugh with them until your cheeks hurt because in the end that's all that matters."

As we move further into Leo's brain tumour diagnosis, and we plan to make more memories as a family, it is becoming increasing clear how difficult it is to care for a child with cancer.

We are making lots of memories with Leo, including venturing off to Disneyland Paris but we have realised that unfortunately it is impossible to health insurance for Leo even the smallest of trips. Leo is s a very poorly boy and whilst we are confident all of his symptoms are under control (we would never travel abroad if we were not confident of this / without his Consultants consent) life is unpredictable and should he fall ill whilst we are outside of the UK the financial implications of treating him abroad and getting him back home would be devastating for any family.

We have therefore decided to set up this Go Fund Me page, for anyone who has asked how they can help so far, and for anyone who would like to contribute.

Fingers crossed these funds would not be needed for these reasons and Leo's memory making trips are all happy and free from medical issues - and of course, if this is the case funds raised from this page will be split equally between PASICAbbie’s Army  and Young Lives vs Cancer , who have all been incredible so far.

Thanks again for everyone's support.
