Len Simmons Medical Fundraising

My name is Len Simmons, born and raised on the Hamilton Beach Strip.  I was a welder and a painter for the career that I had.  14 years ago I was diagnosed with Emphysema, COPD (chronic  obstructive pulmonary disease).  I continued to work in an office environment until 2013 where I had to quit working because I could not function doing my day to day job.  2 years ago I was put on oxygen because my lungs do not function as yours do.  I have recently had an assessment to prepare me for a double lung transplant but this comes to a great cost for me having to relocate to a different city where I get no help from the government and the hotel costs and food cost as well as the taxi rides. The cost of all this has to come from me who does not have the ability to afford. This is why I am reaching out to the community for help.
