Legal Fund for Nona's Girls

Short and sweet: Our family will be hiring an attorney (again) to (once again) defend my daughter's custody of our sweet granddaughters. Their biological father is mentally ill and about as manipulative a liar as has ever been born. He had four weeks of visitation this summer and has refused to return the girls to their mother this week. See that sweet thing on the right? Two years ago, when she was only five years old, this man woke that child up and told her he was going to die and it was her mommy's fault--we found him in a hospital a few hours later, having staged a suicide-by-cop on the side of the road and thereafter being involuntarily committed for psychiatric care.  He's bipolar, but I hesitate to hang this on that diagnosis alone. I know many bipolar patients who are decent, kind, well-intentioned people. This person is devoid of remorse or reasonable emotion. Once again, he is attempting to brainwash his girls. We'll be months piecing these babies back together again.

We're now awash in the legal system once again, desperately fighting to bring our little girls home again. Their mother, my daughter Brittany, is the most amazing mother I have ever witnessed. Please help us bring our girls home and go the distance with the legal system to shut down this man's ability to take them anywhere unsupervised ever again. I will simply say that Brittany and I will most faithfully use any donations to hire the most righteous damn attorney on the face of this planet and will go to the ends of the earth to bring our girls safely back to their mama in NC. I ask from the bottom of my heart that those who can give to this cause. Time is short and the need is so heavy and bleak, as are our hearts.
