Legal Fees For Ezra Grey Frost

Donation protected
Ezra Grey Frost was arrested following a peaceful protest in Huntsville Alabama that ended in police shooting tear gas and rubber bullets into the crowd. He remained at the scene as long as possible to serve as a medic. He has been charged with Disorderly Conduct (Failure to Disperse). At the time of the arrest, Ezra was a part of a small group of protesters completely blocked in by police.  Ezra was tackled and slammed into the concrete while he had his hands in the air and was not resisting, and as a result, has a concussion. Below is a Facebook post posted by Ezra's wife.

"Since Huntsville police department doesn't want to tell the truth I will. There were no out of town anarchists. There was no one in the crowd trying to start violence. There was no one who even attacked the cops until after they started assaulting us with tear gas and rubber bullets. We were all peaceful and nonviolent. The permit that was applied for had end time at 8 pm the Huntsville Police department started the violence around 7:30 pm they had full riot gear or military gear, Multiple snipers (at a peaceful protest). As soon as they became violent they had a line of cop cars come in popped off multiple tear gas canisters and started shooting civilians with rubber bullets. And from I heard one guy got hit in the leg pretty badly and the cops pepper-sprayed the medics trying to help him. The cops were targeting any medics! AGAIN THE COPS WERE TARGETING MEDICS. We had to RIP off are red crosses just so we didn't get pulled. (Note all medics had basic first aid and stuff to wash people eyes out from the tear gas/pepper spray) they pushed us through big spring park and continued there violent assault on us even after we got onto public property. Once we got onto the main part of BSP they continued to shoot rubber bullets and launched multiple tear gas canisters into our vicinity. Multiple came close to hitting civilians. My friend got a face full of tear gas during this assault. They eventually pushed us completely out of BSP and to the other side of the road. They cornered us from each side blocking any exit points we had and pinned us in. Then continued to tell us to leave even tho we no longer had any safe exit points. I almost got arrested by a cop blocking one of the roads, if it wasn't for a sweet lady live streaming the cop me and my friend probably would have been arrested as we tried to leave. I was not able to make it back to Ezra before they violently tackled and beat a number of the remaining protesters. My husband was standing in the back of the parking lot just ready to pull people out if they got tear-gassed or pepper-sprayed. When the cops started arresting people he got tackled to the grown even tho he had his hands up and was not being violent. The officer slammed him to the ground and slammed his head into the concrete multiple times giving him a concussion. All cops in riot gear had their badge numbers covered. If you asked them it was in solitary for a fallen officer. But we know the real reason the officers did not want to be tagged in this unlawful assault on innocent and peaceful protesters. The police reports they made for the incident were pretty much all identical except maybe a couple. All had the same charges and the same statement. The Huntsville police department are cowards who are violent and instigated all the violence. There were no out of town anarchists it was the cops who were inciting violence. Huntsville police department should be ashamed of themselves for there actions. They used unnecessary force on a group of nonviolent protesters. They are trying to claim the protesters are the issues here we are not the issue. A corrupt judicial system with no checks or balances other than the same corrupt system. We the people must check this corrupt system and hold them accountable. It is up to we the people to hold the line to keep showing up to these protest and to keep pushing for equality and justice! We must stand United! UNITED WE STAND! Stay strong everyone, and stay safe."

Money raised will go to pay Ezra's bail, court fees, and fines. Any leftover will be donated towards the legal fees of the 20 others arrested at the same time.
