Leg Amputation 2023

Donation protected

Update 7/16/23: hard work is paying off I was able to somewhat stand today on my own but with assistance of the wheelchair. Small steps forward in the right direction.

Update: I was released from rehab on Saturday and have made the move to Houston. Currently at my mother's house since I would be able to get around the house in the wheelchair. It has been a struggle to say the least. I'm am currently in need of some handicapped aids to make life a little bit easier and have priced them out on Amazon totaling about $500 items such as a shower bench, new slide board and multiple curb/doorway ramps so that I can get in and out of the house and past the garage door. Door thresholds and the drop at the garage door are to much for me to pull myself over.
Thank you for the help so far and appreciate the future assistance.
Bought a pair of gloves to keep my hands from blistering and they have a message on the palm " Do it any way possible " and this seems to fit with the new struggles in my life and a good motto to live by.

Hello my name is Cory and I am raising funds to help assist with bills while I am back in the hospital and rehab. Right leg was removed below the knee on June 17th. I am currently in rehab learning how to walk again for the 2nd time this year. Any help would be much appreciated and thank you very much.

Back story, last July 22' I had a broken toe and sores on my toe which caused me to go to the doctor. They told me toe was broken and gave me antibiotics at that time and the exterior of the toe healed. Then in Oct 22' I fell ill and had no energy and went into the hospital. Ended up I had bone and blood infection and ended up going through 5 surgeries at that time and spent 3.5 months on antibiotics to clear the infections. Spent the next few weeks in rehab and learned to walk again on a walker.

I healed and was able to go back to work as an Uber driver for 5 months when I started to feel week again. Not wanting to take any chances went to the hospital and they did exploratory surgery on my right leg and in only a few days the infection took over my foot at which point the foot surgeon said it had to be removed. Surgery was on June 17th which brings me to where I currently am which is in rehab learning to hopefully walk again.

So hear I am again asking for help because even when you watch your meds and watch your sugars and what you eat your health can still knock you on your backside.
