Leeandra Jarmon medical expenses

Donation protected
Leeandra Jarmon, 31-year old daughter of Gary and Jenny Coffey, currently residing with her husband Sam and parents, back home, in Red Oak, Texas has been suffering from a neuromuscular disorder for the past 3 years.  Her pain physician has found a surgical procedure that should help with the current disruption of her daily life.  His hope, and ours, is this procedure will give some quality of, a semi-normal, life back to Leeandra.
Currently, Leeandra, is semi-disabled, meaning unable to work in her field as a nurse.  Some days she is bound to a wheelchair, some days she is able to walk with an aid (a walker) and some days she is able to walk in a semi-normal manner, but always in pain.  Her normal sleeping mode is in a recliner, as this is the only way to achieve any type of "normal" sleep, for her condition.  She is currently on a regiment of constant pain medication, which she hates. In her words, she "just wants her life back."
The procedure mentioned above, would implant a device into her spinal column that stimulates the nerves, hoping to bring some relief from the constant pain.  She would be able to control the frequency and amount of stimulation to the nerves, thereby, controlling the pain.  However the procedure is quite costly.  At this time insurance will only cover a small portion of the procedure but the rest must be paid for out of pocket...but the pockets are now empty.  3 years of medical expenses for Sam and Leeandra and her parents have taken their toll.  It's hard to ask for help, but we are out of options.  This procedure is important, as it may be the only way to get back that quality of life for Leeandra, she so desperately seeks.  Just to be able to sleep, sit, or walk without pain, much less think about nursing again.
The cost of the trial procedure, which checks for placement of the device, externally, and response to the stimulation, and then the permanent procedure to internally implant the device, would be around $18,000. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated!
