Lee Brooke was attacked by a grizzly bear in October 2016. The family's medical insurance expires in October 2018. We are attempting to raise funds to cover COBRA and medical deductibles so that his expenses, which run into millions of dollars, can continue to be covered. The family appreciates the support received from friends and community, but now it is time to reach out to a larger community. Thank you. July 18, 2020 This update is from Martha Brooke...Lee and I were blessed to be able to maintain his insurance by paying the weekly amount that would have been taken out of his paycheck had he been able to work from 2016 through summer of 2020. We recently found out that the plant Lee is employed at will be permanently shutting down August 1, 2020. Again, we are faced with purchasing COBRA or some other form of insurance. Lee and I know that we will get through this new challenge, as we have the others and again, thank all who have helped us along the way.
