A Community Fundraiser to Support a Local Friend and Hero

Lee Elci's best bud Ozzy the dog is enduring a hard time with his health. He is battling sickness and is in the midst of undergoing several surgeries and is required to stay at the veterinary hospital for a long-term timeframe.

The current veterinary bills are over $11,000.00 and there look to be quite a few more.

Unexpected bills like this can crush a family that is trying to do the best for their loved one. Like me, Lee would never ask for help. Now is the time for us to join forces and help Lee and his family like he has done for so many of us.

Lee is the host of the wildly popular morning radio show "The Voice of Freedom" on 94.9. He has dedicated thousands of hours of support to multiple causes in our community. His direct impact has made a difference to so many non-profit organizations helping people when they needed it the most. Lee has personally supported Little league teams, local women's shelters, food banks, veteran organizations, breast cancer causes and thousands of others charitable groups.

Lee has never asked for a thing in return. It is who he is… helping is what he believes in.

As co-founder and board president of Veterans Equine Therapeutic Services, Lee has helped us grow our program and raise funds to support local veterans in need. Now it is our turn. We now have a chance to give back to him. It's our turn to step up and rally as a community to show Lee how much he means to us and how much we care.

This is how a community builds itself.

Any donation you can make will all go to paying down Ozzy's veterinary bills and provide much needed financial support to Lee's best friend. Lee's love of community and of Ozzy is legendary.

We will be collecting donations from now until Sunday, November 7 when we will present the total funds raised to Lee at a Filomena's restaurant 262 Boston Post Rd, Unit 1, Waterford CT.

Mike Buscetto will host this event at his restaurant and will have live music, amazing food and refreshments, and a drive through donation line. This event is a great time for new and “old” friends to come meet Lee and show support.

Many people in our community know and recognize the contributions Lee has given to all of us. Please help us to break our goal and make sure the Oz man has the best care money can buy.
