Leah's Fight To Be Cancer Free

Hello everyone, I'm starting this account with the permission from my sister/bf Theresa Harris for her 2 yr old baby girl and my niece Cahleah. One week ago today we were given the devastating news that our precious baby girl had been diagnosed with AML Leukemia (blood cancer) . It's one of the most aggressive kinds. Though this hurts to even think about, we must continue to fight , pray and help the parents as they fight this fight with their precious baby girl. In her short 2 yrs of life she's endured so much. Not to mention Leah had to have open heart surgery at the tender age of 4 months old. Her parents are still trying to pay off medical bills for that. Dad (Carlos) was basically fired from his job because he wasn't on the job long enough to request FMLA but he did what any loving father would've done, and that was choose to be by his daughter's side. Mom (Theresa) is a RN true enough but as we all know, when it rains it pours. She has mortgage, bills, hospital bills, as well as other kids at home who depend on her. Her job is willing to give her the time off that she needs but "unpaid".. Leah will have to spend one week out of every month for the next 6 months admitted in the hospital for chemotherapy. Meanwhile the bills will continue to pile up as well as the mortgage. We're simply asking family and friends to hear and understand Leahs story and donate in any way possible. No parent wants to leave their baby's side in such a serious yet delicate time. Leah's recovery consists of her parents being with her by her bedside,making sure she is being properly cared for. Come on guys rally behind us, continue to pray for Leah and support this campaign. Every dollar will be appreciated.
