LBJH 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony

LBJH 8th graders accomplished a lot this year overcoming some hard challenges. The past few months have not been easy for them transitioning with the Covid changes and being isolated and expected to do work on the computers. Our children deserved to have some type of celebration for all their hard efforts. Instead all they get was a day to return textbooks under one canopy, go empty there PE locker and handed a certificate in a white envelope with the VP handing them a cookie saying Good Luck Next Year in High School. No parade, no balloons nothing special. I stood there watching the tears come down my child's face as she walked away. The school said they wanted to give a personal touch to the Grads and this is why they didn’t do a parade !  Where was it? Creekside JH was able to do a Parade , give each graduate a T-Shirt and made it so they could take Pictures with balloons while social distancing. Gustine was able to do a live Graduation while maintaining the 6 ft distancing rules and they got to walk and get there certificates. Why not LBJH? What was so hard to do something for our children.  A team of parents have got together and we will be holding a 2020 Graduation Ceremony for the 8th grade! However we need some help we would love to be able to give each of the students a shirt and some type of memory or gift for all the hard work they put in over the past 2 years ! Can you please help? Out of the teams pockets we will be paying for a photographer, Videographer, sashes, and making Goodie Bags and cupcakes . Can you please help us make this possible for our 8th Grade LBJH students?
