My name is Tracy Hall (Walker), and I am the only child of my dad, Larry.

On November 7th, my dad faced a severe choking incident, leading to cardiac arrest. After 20 minutes of CPR, a pulse was felt. He was put on a ventilator, surrounded by a maze of tubes and wires. Rushing to Green Bay the next day, I reached the hospital by 4 pm. By 7 pm, the difficult decision was made to disconnect all life support as it became evident that he had been deprived of oxygen for too long, with no brain activity. From then until his final breath at 12:45 am on November 10th, I spent every possible moment with him.

I'm reaching out for donations because despite being a Veteran, my dad hadn't made arrangements for his final wishes.

My dad was a true Marine, exemplified even in his last moments. Despite being clinically brain dead, he held on until 11/10, the Marine Corps Birthday, just a day before Veteran's Day. He served 4 tours in Vietnam, a total of 2 years and 28 days, a testament to his commitment. His Marine career ended in 1971 due to his injuries.

Without a pension but with 100% disability, he didn't prepare for his burial, a fact unknown to many when a Veteran passes away.

I'm seeking assistance for cremation expenses and to plan a celebration of life in July 2024, recognizing that Wisconsin's cold isn't ideal now. Any remaining funds in his honor will go to the Wounded Warriors Project, supporting disabled veterans.

My father was my hero, not just for his military service and sacrifices, but for his integrity, strong work ethic, and unwavering kindness despite the pain he endured. He was a man of few words, embodying simplicity and humility.

Dad, I love you, and I'll forever miss you. Until we meet again...
