Hi everyone,
As you all know, I got accepted to the Graduate Diploma in Law program at the University of Law. The school I will be attending is located in London and will be living there.
Law school is a daunting task, but one that I am fully committed in. I have always strived to help others- whether it is through teaching or public service. Becoming a lawyer will be no different and I want to be part of a profession where I can have the opportunity to help others and apply the law in order for it to be more equitable and just for society.
The Graduate Diploma in Law is the first step of three year multi-clad schooling to get my law degree. It is a 9 month intensive program where I will learn the ins and outs of law before going on to the Bar Practice Course.
Unfortunately for me, student loans in the UK are not available to non-UK/EEA residents. Although I have some money saved up and I will be working, I won't be able to afford all of the tuition . I am going to need $15,000 (11,000 GBP) for my tuition. Tuition is due as soon as as possible in order to process my visa application in a timely manner before school starts in mid January. I know it's a lot, but any little bit counts in order to achieve my goal of becoming a lawyer.
