Laurie's a Warrior Fund

My mom, Laurie, is my hero. On May 13th, the day before Mother's Day, she had a seizure that eventually uncovered a brain tumor. Since that day, our family's world has been turned upside down. During her surgery to remove the tumor, she suffered a stroke. Although the surgeon was able to remove 85 percent of her tumor, she lost the use of her right arm, right leg, and now has a language disorder called aphasia. Everyday she makes progress. Since her surgery/stroke in July, she has retrained her leg so that she is able to walk with assistance. She has weekly speech, physical, and occupational therapy. She is currently on her second round of chemotherapy. Since she will not be able to return to work anytime soon, she lost her position. My selfless step-dad, Chris, is also not working as he is her 24/7 caregiver. Any donations would go towards the steep health insurance/deductables/co-pays that come with not having insurance through work. My Mom has worked her butt off her whole life for her job, her home, and her kids. Any help to make this journey less stressful for her would be so much appreciated. We want her to focus on beating this cancer and recovery, not financial hardships. Through all of this, not once have I heard her complain or show any signs of fear. She has always been our inspiration.
