Lauren's Colon Cancer Fight
My cousin, Lauren Elizabeth Tatum, is an amazing mom, daughter, sister, and all-around a great spirit. She's exactly 4 months younger than me, and she's been diagnosed with stage four colon cancer. Having just turned 26, I absolutely can't imagine how she must feel. Especially caring for her sons, 3-year-old Xavier, and Zahir, just shy of turning one year old. Her boys have had their fair share of health obstacles. Xavier was diagnosed with Autism, and Zahir was born with a birth defect and has undergone 4 surgeries in his first nine months of living. But this has been the biggest challenge yet for their family. Thankfully, she has a great support system. Her fiancé Eric has been standing by her side, and her mom Denise has always been there for her baby girl. Unfortunately, family love and support can't always ease the pain of financial burden.
Now they are a suddenly a single income household and your donations will help with rent, daycare, utilities and food cost. Your help will take one huge burden off of their minds so that they can focus on her health.
Lauren comes from a family of fighters, our great-grandmother beat colon cancer. I believe we as a family have no doubt in our minds she can power through this and become stronger than she ever thought she could be, but if there's anything we can do to help stop the stress of affording medical treatment while simultaneously providing for her family, we're going to do just that.
Please, if you can donate to my cousin Lauren Elizabeth Tatum (LET) and help. I know she'll appreciate anything you can give, and so do we, her family. Thank you so much.
