Lauren's Mission Trip -Dominican Rep.

Hello friends and family! I am very excited for this amazing opportunity to serve in a mission trip that involves 3 of my biggest passions - Christ, nursing, and kiddos! This unique trip through Vision Trust (visiontrust.org) is a week long trip to the Dominican Republic in April, serving children that do not have access to medical care - I will be providing Christian beliefs, as well as assessing and treating children for any medical concerns, and helping make resources available to the children that may need more long term medical care. VTI's mission is to "develop orphaned and neglected children into mature Christians equipped to live in their own culture. We do this by enabling Christian nationals to meet the physical, educational, emotional and spiritual needs of these children." As a Pediatric ICU nurse, I couldn't be more excited for the opportunity to use my skills and spread the love of Jesus Christ to underprivledged children.

For this trip, I need to raise $1850 for airfare and expenses/fees while in the Dominican. Anything in excess will go directly towards purchasing Vitamins and medical supplies for the trip - also greatly needed! This is a wonderful opportunity for myself to expand my nursing skills and spread the word of God. Any contributions you are able to give are greatly appreciated, no matter the amount! My total cost is due no later than March 6th, but donations made later are still accepted and appreciated to help cover out of pocket expenses I may accrue.  Prayers are welcomed and encouraged, as well.
