Laura's Amputation

We really dont want to be asking for money but unfortunately timing could not be worse.
Laura has developed a tumor on her back leg and its been diagnosed as cancerous. The unfortunate thing about it is that it is right on her joint and will eventually restrict her use of the leg. One her best options is amputation of her right back leg. She is a good candidate for the amputation given that she is only 5 years old and in good health otherwise.
We have gone back and forth with when would be the best time to do the amputation given that Amanda is over 6 months pregnant and it will be a tough recovery for Laura and Amanda cannot lift her. We have decided to go for before the baby comes as it will give us the chance to adjust to life with a 3 legged dog and those challenges before life with 2 kids begins.
Any amount would help at this time as we try and save for this operation and prepare for reduced income by Amanda's maternity leave.
