We're all excited that Laura Wilund Adams and Andrew Feiler will be married this spring. As you probably know, Laura and Andrew live, work, and run Brickworks Gallery alongside the Atlanta Beltline. The most comprehensive development initiative ever undertaken in Atlanta, the Beltline -- modeled after New York's High Line -- will ultimately connect 45 neighborhoods via a 22-mile loop of trails and parks.
The Beltline is also the heart of Laura and Andrew's daily life. They use it to visit friends, welcome guests, and walk their beloved Blue Berry. The Beltline is their backyard.
We are thrilled to be partnering with Art on the Beltline to commission a one-of-kind piece of artwork in honor of their marriage that will be placed JUST STEPS FROM LAURA AND ANDREW'S FRONT DOOR. It might be a bench or a piece of sculpture.
That's where you come in! As you know, Laura and Andrew have requested NO GIFTS PLEASE. Many may honor their wishes, but we've heard from folks who'd still like to commemorate the occasion. With that in mind, we've decided to open this gift to anyone who would ike to contribute. The Beltline has a minimum of $5,000 for commissions, but the more we raise, the more options we have for art. We've set a target of $12,000, with 100% of what we raise going directly to the creation of this unique piece of art.
A few details. The deadline is May 31, 2018. Any amount, no matter how small, is welcome. We will notify Laura and Andrew of the contributors, so they can acknolwedge your generosity, but we will not tell them the amounts. Your participation can also be anonymous to the public -- just click on that option when you contribute. Finally, anybody who joins the effort will be invited to the unveiling! The Beltline has agreed to let Laura and Andrew help select the artwork -- and to place it near their home (as shown below).
