Laura Leili’s Medical Bills

When my cousin Laura was a young whippersnapper, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma and her treatment included doses of radiation therapy.  Laura now suffers from the late effects of her cancer treatments and radiation-induced complications and diseases that seem to keep coming with relentless ferocity. 

To say that she has put on a brave face through the years while battling these effects is an understatement. Now, Laura might be facing her toughest battle yet. It seems that every complication and the kitchen sink is being thrown at her and she is in the hospital awaiting results of a thousand different scans,  X-rays, and scopes to find out both why she is so sick and what can be done to help her. She's in excruciating pain, she can't eat, and she has a long road to recovery ahead of her.

Laura is a strong, independent woman. She doesn't complain, and I can't remember a time she's asked for something for herself. I know she won't like it, but I want to ease at least a tiny bit of burden for her by collecting donations from friends and family who love her to pieces.

We all know that insurance companies will only be selflessly generous to a certain point (yeah right) so I want the Leili family to have a small cushion of funding to help pay the mounting medical bills. Anything you can give will help-- from $1 to $100 (or more if you're feeling super generous!) -- and the money will go directly to Scott and Laura.
