Laura @ Laura's Bar Simpson Bay&fr

Laura, and many other fine people, was a victim of Hurricane Irma; when it swept over the Island of Saint Maarten. The roof of her home was ripped off, in the devastating winds; and much of her personal property was either lost or damaged.
Being of a kind spirit, Laura would only accept our support - if she could share any funds raised "with others who were also affected". Her friend Batista lost her home and all of her possessions. She and her three year old son are in a sad situation.
Despite being innocent victims of this historical storm neither Laura or Batista have lost their faith. "We thank God for our lives." , is the comment we have heard repeatedly.

Our friends on this beautiful island have not only lost property and been displaced, but their employment and opportunities to rebound have been significantly affected. It is hard to imagine that electricity, communication systems, and even food & water are in short supply. These are desperate times for good people.

We ask that you open up your heart and wallet, to lend a hand to folks  who not only need - but will appreciate your support. Laura asked only for our prayers. That is her spirit. If possible we hope you will be moved to make a financial contribution: knowing that your kindness will be shared by good people / helping good people.
