Latina Engineer Week Scholarship

Hi Everyone!

This is Diana Iracheta. A Latina engineer who wants to support other Latinas going into engineering fields.

This October 12th we are celebrating the very first International Latina Engineer Week celebration. 

International Latina Engineer Week Information 

We are bringing more than 300 Latinas in engineering from all around the world.

Latinas only represent 3% in STEM, and this number is even lower for engineering!

This is a very special event for me, as only 1 year ago, I knew less than 4 other latinas in engineering, and it seemed impossible to think we could bring these many Ingenieras together.

So for this very first celebration, we want to be giving away scholarships to some of there talented and amazing Latinas in engineering in any college in the USA. 

These scholarships will directly fund college expenses for these students.

The two scholarship recipients are
Deisy Martinez and Maria Pena.

I hope you feel as proud as I do of these ladies. The are breaking stereotypes and working hard to reach for their goals every single day! 

So please help us raise funds to create these scholarships! The recipients will be announced on Oct 16th 2020 during out final conference.
