My son. Two words I thought I'd never get to say. I have been blessed with 3 beautiful children...and I have finally met the son I've dreamed about for so long...

On September 1st, my twins Imagine & Larry arrived via emergency c-section at 35 weeks. My family was overjoyed in welcoming our babies. Almost certainly our last.

Larry was born with a nuchal cord, inability to eat, breath or maintain his body temperature on his own. He fought through these difficulties and came home almost a month later.

When he was a week old, and still in the NICU, I felt a lump on his lower back. It worried me. He cried all the time...I knew he was in pain... He didn't have proper movement in his legs...then the tremors started...

On October 4th, we went to Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children to get an MRI. It was supposed to be an out patient procedure. And we would find out just what that lump was. A birth injury? a hernia? A pulled muscle? I was considering a few different possibilities.

When I was called into recovery from the MRI I knew immediately something was REALLY WRONG. The staff knew what was coming for us. Their compassionate hearts were on their sleeves. Attentive, diligent, present, reassuring & supportive beyond any other hospital experience in my life.

..my son & I waited...and waited. We didn't know but we were waiting for the pediatric oncologist.

When he arrived we received a preliminary diagnosis. My son was admitted to the hospital. There was a hurricane of doctors, and a flood of tests over the next few days. It was confirmed. Cancer. My son. My son has cancer. Stage 3 Neuroblastoma.

The tumor is big. It is in his abdomen it is growing into & around his spinal cord. We are in our 4th cycle of chemo. The tumor is responding, shrinking, dying. Not as dramatically as we hoped. So far we've avoided metastasis/spreading. These are the victories we have & the blessings we count.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. The financial strain to care for my son is crushing. Any contribution is very much needed & will be appreciated beyond measure. Please share this gofundme. Please Pray for my son.
